Press Release |
| August, 2006 Lean and Growing |
Davis Tool enjoyed strong growth during the first half of 2006. We finished moving out of our old facilities during the first quarter, and have been able to concentrate on improving our business. Demand has been strong in all markets. We have added equipment and capabilities in 5 Axis Machining, Turning, and Punching. Head count passed 200 people during July. Our focus on reduced flow times has resulted lead times that are a fraction of our previous standards. Typical prototype lead times are 2-3 days right now with some simple parts turned in one day. We are currently running 2 shifts and plan to add a 3rd shift in September. The new shift will help us to continue our lead time reduction.

July, 2004 New Facility Purchased
Davis Tool is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new building near highway 26 in Hillsboro, Oregon.
We are planning to move the operations from our two existing facilities in Hillsboro and Forest Grove to the new site.
The existing building on the new site is 210,000 square feet. We are excited about this opportunity to bring our manufacturing team together.
We believe the change will result in reduced costs and improved service for our customers.
We are also hoping to benefit from being closer to our customers and to a larger labor pool.
The new address is 3740 NW Aloclek Pl, Hillsboro, OR. This is off of Evergreen Parkway near Cornelius Pass Rd.

June, 2004 Manufacturing Jobs added
Davis Tool is reporting an increase in manufacturing jobs. We have been seeing a significant increase in orders from our customers
during the first 6 months of 2004. This has been a welcome change from the business environment we have been operating in since 2001.
DTI has added 40 positions since January to bring our total head count to 165 people. DTI has been able to take advantage
of low prices on used equipment to add capabilities and capacity in our EDM and CNC lathe departments. We are projecting
slower job growth for the second half of 2004.
