New Machining Capabilities, 2010-05-03 -
Hillsboro, May 3 2010 – Davis Tool, Inc. is pleased to announce new machining capabilities. Our new Mazak Integrex E-1060V has the ability to perform vertical turning and 5-axis machining on parts up to 49” in diameter and 49” high.
For 5-axis milling the work envelope is a similar size to that of the Makino 1516 equipment already in production. The similarity in work envelope allows the Mazak and Makino machines to provide back up for each other for machined parts.
Davis Tool increases the maximum diameter for turned parts from 26” to 49” by adding the Integrex. This creates an opportunity for customers to place orders for larger round parts with Davis Tool. When the milling and turning capabilities are combined, costly setups can be eliminated improving quality and lead time while reducing cost.
